Young Star Rocks the World

By: Tyler Hailston

Professional sports are filled with young talents from all over the world. Some from college or even straight out of high school. Devin Armani Booker is an American professional basketball player for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association. He is one of the best examples of a young talent making a name for himself. Booker is a 20 year old that was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team that represents the University of Kentucky for one season before entering the NBA Draft. The Phoenix Suns had the pleasure of drafting Booker 15th in the first round.

Screen Shot 2017-03-29 at 5.48.47 PMIt’s very rare for young talents that have just entered the league to be a well known name in the game, but Booker proved himself to everyone that “Devin Booker” is a name everyone needs to know. In their game on March 24th, Booker had a whooping 70 points. This outstanding performance makes him the sixth player in NBA history to record a 70 point game. Joining Wilt Chamberlain, David Robinson, David Thompson, Elgin Baylor and Kobe Bryant on the list. Booker finished 21-of-40 shooting, including 4-of-11 on 3-pointers, 24-of-26 from the free throw line, and snagging eight rebounds all in 45 minutes.

“This doesn’t happen very often,” Booker said as he got
through the postgame media duties. “Especially against a really good defensive team like the Boston Celtics. I knew I was going to have to come in, lock in mentally tonight — playing at Boston isn’t easy all the time. They made it tough for me in the first half, and I tried to get it going. I was ultra-aggressive. My teammates started finding me, they started setting really good screens for me, and the rest is history.”

Today I saw an alien and it wanted to see President Trump! The alien said take me to your leader!  I pointed to the White House and  he got back in his UFO and went over to the Oval Office. I saw a light and poof !President Trump was gone. Then a swat team rushed out of the building and asked where did the alien go??? I pointed in the direction of Nevada. The aliens said they needed the President to do experiments on. Then the swat team got in a helicopter and went to Nevada. Screen Shot 2017-03-27 at 7.31.17 PM.pngThey announced on the news that aliens had abducted President Trump!!
