On April 6th, Herkimer High School will be putting on their Second Annual Riggie-Fest. This will take place in the cafeteria at the High School at 5:00 p.m. Many vendors and parents will be entering their own special recipes for a chance to win the competition. The winning prize is $50.00. The admission fee is $5.00 for students and $8.00 for adults, which allows everyone to sample all of the Riggies and then vote on their choice for the winner.
Chicken Riggies are an Italian-American pasta dish native to the Utica-Rome area. It usually consists of chicken, rigatoni and hot or sweet peppers in a spicy cream and tomato sauce, although many variations exist.
